EMPLOYMENT SERVICES
We help clients develop individual abilities and teamwork skills that help them become assets to employers in Ottawa and Muskegon counties. Then we match the right workers with the right skills to the right employers. We also offer fulfilling jobs to area residents that find meaning in working with our clients.
EMPOWERMENT SERVICES
Our hands-on Empowerment Program is designed for individuals with varying degrees of need and delivered in an environment that respects and honors diversity and promotes community access and inclusion.
COMMUNITY LIVING SUPPORTS
PELS works with a variety of professionals and community mental health providers to develop individualized plans that help support recipients build the skills and confidence that lead to independence and success.

About PELS
Preferred Employment & Living Supports (PELS) provides high-quality care, training and opportunities for people with disabilities, mental illness and other life challenges. Founded in 2013 by a team of experienced professionals, we have built all of our culture and services around successful client outcomes—from finding fulfilling jobs and being part of community to living independently and overcoming barriers.
We are are CARF-accredited and partner with many of Western Michigan’s leading health care, mental health and human services agencies. Our affiliations with key organizations also provide us access to interpreters and sign language specialists. We also work with many of the region’s employers and nonprofit organizations to help provide them with trained, reliable and valuable employees.
